Entrance Requirements

To be accepted for the course Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, candidates shall have:

  1. Valid Basic Training course certificates as set out in the Training Standards Code.
  2. A valid SAMSA Seafarer Medical Certificate, or equivalent from another administration which is recognised by SAMSA.

Recommendations:

Please bring the following on Day 1:

  • ID or passport
  • SAMSA medical certificate (or equivalent)
  • Basic Training certificates: PST, PSSR, EFA, FPFF, and DSD.

Learning

Wear closed comfortable shoes you will be going out to sea. sunblock is advised.

Course Intake

In accordance with SAMSA accreditation a maximum of 12 students per class will be accommodated
