Entrance Requirements
- Grade 12 and working in a health-related service or program
Target Audience
- Nurses / Nursing assistants
- Emergency Unit / ER / ICU staff
- Primary Healthcare Clinic Staff / Community Healthcare Workers
- Laboratory staff / POCT users, Co-Ordinators and Managers
- Phlebotomists
- Hospital Physicians / General Practitioners and staff
- EMTs, Paramedics, Ambulance staff
- Pharmacy & Pharmacy Clinic Staff
- Wellness and Health Clinics
Course Structure
The course is held over 5 days with Theoretical Online lectures for 3 days and Practical hands-on sessions for 2 days.
There are 9 Modules covering the Theoretical and Practical aspects of POCT
Online assessments after completion of each Module
CPUT Certificate as a POCT Professional will be issued after successful completion of all the course requirements.
The course is CPD accredited: 6 CEUs per day.
