Entrance Requirements
1. Matric certificate or equivalent qualification with minimum of 50% for Mathematics coupled with suitable knowledge of Informational and communication technology (ICT) and/or
2. Experience within the information security industry will be beneficial.
3. Attendees must have Internet access and suitable computing hardware and software in order to participate on the e-learning forum and complete practical assignments.

Target Audience
Security personnel working within the spheres of information and computer security as well as prospective students that want to embark on a career within the cyber security domain
Course Structure
The course consists of four modules:
Module 1: Cyber Crime
Module 2: Practical Cryptography
Module 3: Cyber Intelligence and Analysis
Module 4: Cyber Security Governance
Assessment and Certification
A student has to pass all four modules with a minimum mark of 70% in order to successfully complete the course and receive the certificate in Cyber Security
Participants will continuously be assessed by means of tests and / or assignments, etc. A Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Certificate of Competence will be awarded to successful participants. The course content is benchmarked against level 5 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
