• Matric certificate or equivalent grade 12 certificate from your country (No mark or subject restrictions)
• Valid form of Identification, e.g., SA ID card/book or foreign citizen's passport.
• Preferably IT knowledge but not compulsory
• Personal computer/laptop with Windows 10/11 operating system
• Preferably no company-owned or restricted devices to be used (You will be required to install and use software tools)

Security personnel working within the spheres of information and computer security as well as prospective students that want to embark on a career within the cyber security domain

• Encryption
• Digital Signatures and Hash Functions
• Cryptographic Protocols
• SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• Blockchain
• Reconnaissance
• Cyber Governance and Frameworks
• Cyber Risk Management and Controls
• Cyber Threat Intelligence

A student has to pass all four modules with a minimum mark of 70% in order to successfully complete the course and receive the certificate in Cyber Security
Participants will continuously be assessed by means of tests and / or assignments, etc. A Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Certificate of Competence will be awarded to successful participants. The course content is benchmarked against level 5 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
