Graduation

CPUT will be celebrating the success of our graduates by means of ‘face-to-face’ graduation ceremonies in December 2022. Students who completed their qualifications in the first semester of 2022 or before will be included in this graduation. No students who are scheduled to complete their qualifications after the October/November 2022 assessment period will qualify for this graduation cycle.

Graduation is one of the most important events on the university’s calendar and, like tertiary institutions around the world, we may now celebrate the achievements of our students since the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions have been lifted. CPUT students and staff will now celebrate these achievements in a manner which is more personal, aligned to the September 2022 CPUT Contingency Plan.

Graduation Ceremonies will take place as follows:

13 December 2022 at 10:00

  • Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment
  • Faculty of Informatics & Design

13 December 2022 at 14:00

  • Faculty of Applied Sciences
  • Faculty of Business & Management Sciences
  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Health & Wellness Sciences

The graduation ceremonies will be held on our Bellville campus, in the Major Sports Hall. A link will be shared with students to download their graduation invitation letters and each graduand may invite two guests to the ceremony. Staff members are kindly requested to please share this email with all students who will graduate in December 2022 and who may not access their CPUT email messages.

Access to invitation letters

Will be available after 30 November 2022 and will include information for photographers and the hiring of academic attire.
