Wellness Activities and Workshops
The wellness programme offers information, education and guidance on how to live a healthy and balanced life in all areas of your life. Our wellness activities and workshops target the following topics:
- Maintaining your mental health and general wellbeing
- Psychoeducation on mental health challenges (depression, suicide, anxiety, trauma, substance, pregnancy etc.)
- Healthy coping strategies, amongst others relaxation, self-care and mindfulness
- Establishing healthy relationships and managing personal boundaries
- Healthy sexuality and self-expression

Spiritual Wellness
Spiritual wellness is the search, purpose, and meaning to human existence which leads to the desire to be at peace with oneself and the universe.

Occupational Wellness
Occupational wellness involves identifying and choosing a career path that satisfies you. It represents the ability to find a balance between work and personal life.
Tips to enhance your occupational wellness:
- Do more of what you love
- Get to know your talents, interests , values and personality qualities relevant to your work
- Ensure you have sufficient knowledge about your career choice and work environment
- Take mini breaks while studying or at work to clear your mind and to refocus and re-energize
- Maintain healthy relationships in the workplace

Physical Wellness
Physical wellness involves taking care of your body in order to heighten mental alertness and productivity, and to regulate emotions.
Tips to enhance your physical wellness:
- Join a sport club for recreational purposes
- Eat balanced and nutritious meals daily which include portions of fresh fruit and vegetables
- Get adequate sleep (6-8 hours)
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Listen to your body and take care of illnesses
- Be informed about the effects of drugs, alcohol and smoking
- Maintain a healthy sexual relationship: be faithful to one partner, condomise to protect against STI’s and unwanted pregnancies

- Accept your mistakes, learn from them
- Be proactive: prioritize to reduce stress
- Seek help informally (friends and family) and when appropriate formally (professional help)

Environmental Wellness
Environmental wellness is about developing a harmonious and respectful relationship with our planet.

Financial wellness is the ability to manage your financial resources in a responsible manner.
