Advancement

The Advancement Department is the fundraising arm of the CPUT. We create and nurture partnerships with alumni, corporates, government, trusts, foundations and other supporters.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Directorate

The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Directorate focuses on specific work processes to ensure the institution's resilience and ability to withstand and recover from potential disruptions.

Compliance Management Function

The CMF operates throughout CPUT, offering comprehensive support, information, and advice to all staff regarding applying legislation and ethical considerations to their roles within the University.

CPUT Retirement Fund

In addition to providing retirement benefits, the Fund also provides resignation, retrenchment, death and disability benefits. The Fund is approved for tax purposes as a Provident Fund.

Disability Unit

The DU is a multi-functional support service point of the University that strives to implement an accessible and welcoming learning environment for students with disabilities as well as support for staff working with these students.

Enterprise Risk Management

Our purpose is to facilitate the embedment of an integrated risk management process as directed by Council, senior management, and other personnel, as initiated in objective and strategy setting and across the university.

Fundani Centre for Higher Education Development

We engage with and offer development to the institution’s faculties, academic staff and students through academic guidance, resources and research into teaching and learning.

Human Capital

SMART Human Capital aims at promoting a culture of human-centricity and smart people of integrity, mutual respect, and excellence, who nurture collaboration, and are innovative in support of One Smart CPUT.

Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS)

ICTS is committed to providing the IT infrastructure and tools to enable academic excellence and business efficiency at CPUT. The individual IT sections provide innovative, customer-focused solutions to meet the needs of the university community.

Institutional Planning Directorate

We guide and support university-wide decision-making and strategic planning processes through enhanced analytics/MI capabilities and ensuring we meet statutory reporting needs for student data.

Internal Audit

The mission of the Internal Audit Department is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve CPUT’s operations.

Marketing and Communication

The Marketing and Communication Department (MCD) is responsible for various internal and external marketing and communication functions.

Office of the Registrar

Responsible for regulatory compliance, institutional governance, and maintenance of university records.

Procurement

In order to ensure a fair procurement process, we have engaged the SABEeX Delivery Management System to manage the procurement processes for our large procurement activities.

Protection Services

The mission of Protection Services is to provide in an integrated and coordinated manner a professional, effective and efficient risk management and protection services to the students, staff and visitors of CPUT.

Quality Management Directorate

The directorate frames its strategic planning within the context-based approach on the national and institutional imperatives and other developments in the higher education quality environment.

Records and Archives Management

The Records and Archives Management currently bring together the Archives Management, Records Management, and Postal Services.

Safety Health and Environmental Unit

We provide support to CPUT Management in its efforts in providing a working and learning environment that is safe and is without risk to health of staff, students, contractors and visitors.
