Multigrade education goes digital

TECHNOLOGY: The “School in the box” is set to revolutionize teaching in multigrade schools.

Thanks to the Center for Multigrade Education and the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), classrooms in several impoverished rural schools are set to turn into twenty-first century learning spaces.

LEADER: Director of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Oluwole Daniel Makinde is one of Africa’s top scientists.

Africa’s leaders have recognised Professor Oluwole Daniel Makinde’s as one of the continent’s top scientist.

RACING: Mechanical Engineering students are putting the final touches to their racing car. During the next few weeks they will construct the shell of the car.

It’s official – a group of Mechanical Engineering students are set to jet off to the United Kingdom, where they will compete in the 2012 Formula Student competition.
