The Rapid Response Task Team is the stakeholder body consisting of management, student leaders, unions, workers and Fees-Must-Fall protesters who have been mediating this past week to determine how a resolution to the CPUT protests could be found.
Exams postponed, staff to return to work
We have spent the weekend working very hard, with the assistance of skilled mediators, to reach an agreement with the stakeholders below to ensure the return to normal operations on our campuses.
Urgent interdict
Below is an urgent interim Interdict Order, with annexures "A", "B" and "C", granted by Magona AJ at the High Court this afternoon inter alia interdicting and restraining unlawful conduct, including violence, incitement, intimidation, damage to property and vehicles, and disruption of assessments/ examinations. You are urged to carefully read the Order to familiarise yourself with its contents. You are reminded to cooperate and not to participate in any unlawful conduct, failing which the Order will be given effect to.
