Students gearing up to race

RACER:  Chesire Adriaan is one of the students who will compete in the 2012 Formula Student competition.

A group of Mechanical Engineering students are hard at work putting the final touches to CPUT’s first formula one racing car.

RACING: Mechanical Engineering students are putting the final touches to their racing car. During the next few weeks they will construct the shell of the car.

It’s official – a group of Mechanical Engineering students are set to jet off to the United Kingdom, where they will compete in the 2012 Formula Student competition.

ATTACK MODE: Members of the Women’s Basketball team, Cats, Tsebo Mahlophe (No. 13) and Sophy Ngobeni in the background, playing against one of their great rivals, the University of Pretoria.

TWO students have had the honour of representing their country and CPUT at a female basketball competition recently.
