2017 applicants (national and international) and current international students

As a result of the disruptions in higher education in South Africa and in our institution our academic administration processes have been impacted on negatively.
In the main the processing of applications and the finalization of the selection process into academic programmes is behind schedule. Our officials are doing their best under these prevailing circumstances to support the finalization of these processes. We thus ask you to bear with us.

We are aware of the peculiar immigration needs of our international applicants and we are doing our best to respond to these, amid severe operational constraints. Communication to International Students was published in this article. You are urged to familiarize yourselves with the contents thereof. This talks to the blanket concession given by the Minister of Department of Home Affairs. Affected students will receive these extension letters through their official CPUT email addresses.

Under the given prevailing circumstances you are advised to email rather than phoning. You can send your emails to our generic email address namely: applications@cput.ac.za.  For all enquiries please provide your student number, passport or ID numbers  for reference. Please note that the response and turnaround times have been compromised since staff do not have access to their offices and systems and therefore please be patient as we are doing all the best to respond to your requests.

This is preferable as emails addressed to individuals will be only attended to when the individual opens his or her email, which might unduly delay your being responded to.

The University regrets the situation that it finds itself and is interested in the resolution of your needs.
