The constitution provides a framework of governance and spells out the conditions of power within which the Executive and alumni of the CPUT Alumni Association (CPUT AA) may conduct themselves and manage the affairs of the Association.
Speaking at a recent gathering of alumni and convocates, Vice Chancellor Dr Prins Nevhutalu urged alumni to become active members of the AA. He reminded the gathering that while Vice Chancellors, Deans, managers and council members come and go, an alumnus of CPUT is an alumnus for life.
The AA Executive will determine a date for the 2015 Annual General Meeting later this year. Plans are also in the pipeline to establish alumni chapters in Zimbabwe in August, while a visit to alumni in the Eastern Cape by the Vice Chancellor and Alumni Office is planned for late October.
