Cape Town Hotel School
The Cape Town Hotel School is part of the Faculty of Business Management Sciences of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. It is proud to offer a long tradition of quality, contemporary and relevant curriculum at our Granger Bay campus at Mouille Point in Cape Town. The Cape Town Hotel School was established in 1991 as an integral part of the South African Hospitality Industry and is one of the finest Hospitality Management Training establishments in Southern Africa. Building on our reputation of more than thirty years, we have developed the best hotel school in the country, one with an international reputation for research and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
We provide tomorrow’s well-rounded hospitality graduates who are prepared for future success with stimulating and engaging learning experiences as it has developed close working relationships with many leading hospitality organisations in South Africa and internationally.
All our programmes are designed to provide the perfect blend of academic studies and practical experience to enhance student’s future employability. While academic knowledge and practical skills are an important foundation for students, we endeavour to ensure that our hospitality graduates develop soft skills that are much sought-after in the hospitality job market.

The courses offered at the Cape Town Hotel School are of international standard and well supported by the Hospitality Industry through the Hotel School Management Board. Students may follow any of the three different diplomas and three advanced diplomas qualifications offered, namely:
- Diploma in Hospitality and Hotel Management
- Diploma in Hospitality and Food and Beverage Management
- Diploma in Hospitality and Professional Cookery
- Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Hotel Management
- Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Food and Beverage Management
- Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Professional Cookery
Successful students can further their studies by studying for a Postgraduate diploma, improving their marketability in the workplace. If students want to pursue an academic and research direction, they can extend their studies by studying a Masters and Doctorate programs.
