We have set up a system that will help you get the documents you want very quickly. The CPUT Documents system is a 'Dropbox' type facility for CPUT Staff members, committees or workgroups looking to share documents in a safe and easy way. It is powered by the Open Source community version of the all-powerful Alfresco Enterprise Content Management system. You can use it for many things including (but not limited to);
- Paperless meetings,
- Document collaboration,
- Archiving any type of document (office documents or multimedia),
- Document approval and digital signing through a workflow.
The system is accessible 24/7 from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.
So far, the Web Office has had success with CPUT Docs facilitating paperless meetings at high level committees. Various CPUT departments already use the system to share documents too.
