First Year Welcome Ceremonies
NEW START: Annually CPUT welcomes close to 9 000 first years who are enrolled in programmes across the six faculties.

Annually CPUT welcomes close to 9 000 first-years who have chosen to embark on of the more than 70 exciting programmes offered at the university.
From faculty orientation programmes to events hosted by the Department of Student Affairs, first-years can be assured of a warm welcome.
A highlight on the university’s calendar is the official First Year Welcoming Ceremonies, where Vice-Chancellor, Dr Prins Nevhutalu will address students. The First Year Welcoming Ceremonies will take place at the following campuses:
Cape Town Campus: Monday, 2 February 2015 at 10:00 (All students enrolled at the Cape Town, Granger Bay and Mowbray Campuses)
Wellington Campus: Tuesday, 3 February 2015 at 10:00
Bellville Campus: Wednesday, 4 February 2015 at 10:00
Please note Parents, spouses and partners are welcome to attend the ceremonies.
