The Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at CPUT invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship under the CoMPaSS project: Characterisation of Materials – a Partnership for Synchrotron Science.

The fellowship is aimed at an early-career researcher with expertise in electronic engineering, communication networks or Internet of Things applications, together with an interest in multidisciplinary research in the chemical engineering and pharmaceutical domains.

Key information:

• Annual stipend: R320,000 tax-free
• Location: Bellville Campus, Cape Town
• Duration: One year, renewable annually subject to satisfactory progress and funding availability, but not beyond 31 March 2029
• Closing date: Close of business, Friday, 6 November 2026
