At the end of the training the delegate will be able to:
Select the most effective method of laying and cutting fabric for a range of products; (effective includes – cost, time, resource utilisation factors)
Calculate the labour and material costs for laying and cutting;
Identify faults in production markers and implement correction procedures;
Document labour and material usage records;
Establish cut work control procedures;
Establish the work capacity of a cutting department and allocate work.
Use basic visual aids to record and monitor data
Maintain good housekeeping
Understanding rebate procedures
Fabric store – storage and inspection
Cut order planning
Lay planning
Marker making -
Calculation of the labour and material costs for laying and cutting using estimated and measured data.
The identification of faults in production markers and the implementation of corrective procedures. Marker Quality
The documentation of labour and material usage
Establishing cut work control procedures- Workflow: laying up, cutting, fusing, sorting.
