Basic computer literacy skills with a Pattern Development 1 certificate or a good understanding of pattern making
This course will provide an in-depth understanding of computer patternmaking software, which is widely used in the fashion and apparel industry. Participants will learn how to create digital patterns, grade patterns, and generate marker layouts for efficient fabric utilisation.
- Continuous Assessment
- The pass mark is set at 50%.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the basics of computer pattern making.
- Create and modify digital patterns.
- Learn to grade patterns for different sizes.
- Generate marker layouts for optimal fabric usage.
- Develop the skills needed to work with Gerber software in a professional setting.
