Admission Requirements
Students may be admitted to the Advanced Diploma in Operations Management based on the successful completion of a 360 credit Diploma in Operations Management at NQF level 6 or an equivalent NQF level 6 qualification of equivalent NQF level 7 Bachelor’s degree that includes any of the following cognate subject areas: Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management and Information Technology. Applicants will be required to demonstrate the required underlying knowledge and skills as well as thorough understanding of the key concepts associated with Operations Management as field of study. Applicants will be required to demonstrate advanced problem solving ability and communication skills.

Students who do not meet the formal minimum admission requirements may apply for recognition of prior learning. In this regard, applicants will be required to liaise with the Recognition of Prior Learning unit at CPUT, compile a portfolio of evidence to be assessed against the exit level outcomes of a NQF level 6 qualification and follow the required procedures in terms of application and registration.

Although preference will be given to candidates who have relevant work experience, it is not a requirement.
