The admission requirements are:

  • Applicants who have an appropriate pre-HEQSF aligned or HEQSF Diploma (NQF level 6) or equivalent qualification as approved by SAQA with Business Administration and Information Administration subjects.
  • Students who come from other institutions who might have achieved a high composite score to access the Advanced Diploma, but might not have had the requisite subjects or full subject content for certain subjects, would be offered tutorials and mentorship to support them in their attempts to achieve academic success.
  • Learners from the business and information administration field, who want to obtain a formal qualification, can apply for access to the programme based on the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.


The selection criteria for students will be that they have completed the three year Diploma with an average of 55% in the final subjects of the final year. Applicants that have the percentages between 50% - 55% will be referred to the discretion of the Head of Department.
