Transformation and Diversity

The Transformation and Diversity Office serves to engage, intervene and advise students on all matters relating to transformation and diversity at the university.
The mandate of the office is premised on the White Paper 3 programme to transform higher education, Bill of RIghts, Constitution and other related documents. It serves also to connect the university with the rest of the community as it strives towards inclusivity.
Golden Key Honour Society
The Transformation Cffice in collaboration with the Pre–alumni Group/Co-op Working Group has embarked on a project to acknowledge and reward academic excellence among our students. This initiative is part of a bigger project to create a sense of belonging, unity and identity among all students at the University.
The Golden Key Honour Society is an internationally acclaimed organisation. Since its founding, Golden Key has established chapters in 350 universities through out South Africa, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia , the United Arab Emirates and the United States. In South Africa there are chapters at the University of Cape Town , Stellenbosch, Free-State, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan, Rhodes , Pretoria, Johannesburg and Witwatersrand.
CPUT is the first University of Technology to become part of this prestigious group.
