Cleaning services

Our staff is dedicated to maintaining and cleaning the premises and individual accommodations ensuring that they are clean and everything is in working order.

This is accomplished by means of scheduled once-a-week housekeeping visits to every student accommodation.

Laundry services

All residences are equipped with laundry facilities which are, generally, accessible for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Shuttle services

Wellington residences are situated within walking distance from the campus. While most residences on Cape Town Campus and a few on Bellville Campus are outside out of reasonable walking distance, shuttle services are provided at reasonable cost.

Catering

Bellville Campus has a variety of dining halls available. Cape Town has two catering residences, namely Barkly House and Viljoenhof Residence. Self-catering residences are equipped with kitchens for the students to cook their meals. The list of equipment includes a stove, refrigerator / freezer and washing sink. Students are expected to bring their own pots, pans, plates and cutlery. Wellington Campus has catering residences only.

Security

Most residences are fitted with access control equipment and security guards. Students are encouraged to make the issue of security their responsibility e.g. Students are responsible for their visitors' behavior and students who are sharing a room are encouraged to make specific agreements between themselves that are within residence rules and regulations.
