Joe Lambert, founder of Storycenter, will facilitate a 3-day pre-Festival digital storytelling workshop on Friday 11, Saturday 12 and Monday 14 March 2016.
We all have to start somewhere. Since the development of our three day workshop model in the 1990s, the Storycenter has helped some 20,000 people conceive and create their first digital story. The genre, a 2-4 minute short video – deeply personal, elegantly presented – has become a new form of communication, ideal for the social media world we now inhabit. Come to where the digital storytelling movement began, and experience the transformative power of digital storytelling!
- Introduction to the Seven Steps of Digital Storytelling
- Group sharing and feedback in a facilitated Story Circle
- Script writing and voice recording
- Image preparation and storyboarding
- Video editing and production: transitions, effects, music, and titles
- Production of a 2-4 minute digital story
- Group screening
