Nomination of Cape Town Hotel School Management Board Members

The Cape Town Hotel School of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (hereinafter referred as Hotel School) invites members of the Hospitality Industry to directly apply or to make nominations for the appointment of two (2) persons who are neither employees nor students of the University to serve on Management Board of the Hotel School.

Requirements

The nominees must be persons:

  • With a broad understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry
  • Who have demonstrated competencies in the fields of business, finance, marketing and human resources
  • With a broad understanding of the higher education sector and the role of higher education in addressing the national needs
  • With a strategic vision and good independent judgment
  • With a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to attendance of Board meeting and the School academic activities
  • With analytical reasoning abilities
  • Who are honest, have integrity and objectivity, and good communication skills
  • Who are representative of a broad cross-section of the South African population

Cape Town Hotel School is based at CPUT‘s Granger Bay Campus and is one of the leading hotel management schools in Southern Africa.

The nomination form must be signed by at least two members of the Hospitality Industry and by the nominee, as indication of his/ her willingness to serve on the Board, and must be accompanied by the following documentation:

  • Curriculum Vitae of the nominee
  • Details of three referees
  • A declaration by the nominee that no conflict of interest exists with the University, and in particular the Hotel School
